Snapshots – Key West, FL

A few months back I took my first trip to beautiful Key West, Florida. It was an excellent trip filled with hot weather, beautiful scenery, and great food. I will save the gluten free eating options for another post and just concentrate on the beautiful sites for today. Since it was our first trip to Key West, we covered the complete island thoroughly. Our favorite attraction in Key West was visiting Ernest Hemingway’s home – filled with cats with six toes! It was a fascinating place to visit. Outside of the Key West area, we took a seaplane to Fort Jefferson at the Dry Tortugas National Park. The views from the seaplane were gorgeous, and the snorkeling on Dry Tortugas was amazing. I’d encourage anyone who visits Key West to check out both places!

Eating Gluten Free in Myrtle Beach, SC

I spend a good amount of time in Myrtle Beach, SC so obviously I like to keep ‘in the know’ about which restaurants are gluten free friendly. I’ve decided to make a section in my blog specifically for cities in the Carolinas that I frequent on a regular basis and keep a running list of restaurants that are safe for those of us that eat gluten free.

My first gluten free city guide is for Myrtle Beach and you can check it out here. If you see a restaurant that I’ve left off, please feel free to let me know. I hope this will help those of you who enjoy traveling as much as I do. There’s no reason celiacs should have to sit at home because we are worried about where we can eat.

Happy eating and traveling to you!
